It was an emotional Saturday at the Saskatchewan Legislature.
Hundreds collected outdoors of the front steps to protest in opposition to the new pronoun and intercourse schooling plan implemented by the provincial govt for the 2023-24 university year.
The new regulations are as follows:
- Mothers and fathers will have to be notified when sexual wellness education and learning is taking place and what will be provided, and moms and dads will have the skill to take their children out of the course if they want
- No third functions will be authorized to be introduced in for sexual overall health instruction displays, excepting from the ministry or Saskatchewan Wellness Authority. College divisions also will have to pause functioning with third events on sexual intercourse schooling programming as well and
- Mothers and fathers will have to consent ahead of a requested identify and pronoun adjust from a university student will be honoured in the school.
